History of Primeval Earth

200 Million Years Ago

The Parliament of Trees, the elemental spirits of the Green, take root at their present location deep in the Amazon jungle in what is now Brazil.

65 Million Years Ago

After being the dominant life form on the planet for millions of years, the dinosaurs are driven to extinction when a massive asteroid collides with the Earth. A small number of dinosaurs survive by escaping to places like the other-dimensional realm of Skartaris, or through time like those that can be found on Dinosaur Island. The extinction of the dinosaurs opens the door for mammals to become the dominant life form on Earth.

300,000 Years Ago

Anatomically modern humans emerge in Africa, after their ancestors diverged from their closest ape relatives 3 to 5 million years earlier. They would migrate into Asia, Europe and beyond; coexisting for a time with Neanderthals and other primitive hominids before those went extinct. Several alien races have claimed to have intervened in early human evolution but it is not known if these claims are accurate or, if true, how much influence their genetic manipulation had on present-day humanity.
