Renaissance - Justice League Unlimited
Justice League Unlimited is based on the core of the original "what I would have done" concept I had at the time of Flashpoint and the New 52. The concept was simple: launch / relaunch a set of team books unified under a Justice League umbrella, much as Marvel Comics had done in the past with both the X-Men and Avengers franchises. At the core would be a main Justice League title starring the traditional roster, adjacent to which would be relaunches of other team books like Teen Titans and Justice Society but with Justice League branding and closer ties between them.
This story would serve as the launch point for this new status quo for many of the heroes of the DC universe. This status quo is still in place at the starting point of the new DC Heroes Rebirth campaign setting. The name is also a reference and homage to the animated series of the same name that shares a similar premise.
Justice League Unlimited
In the aftermath of the Sundering, Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman propose to the rest of the founding Justice League members that they establish an expanded organization of heroes to better deal with future crises. Under the new framework established by the Justice League, several teams would operate semi-independently while still being part of a larger organization. These teams would be able to take advantage of the resources of the Justice League, and in return would fall under Justice League authority during any major crisis.
Martian Manhunter, wanting to atone for what he perceived as his failure during the crisis, agreed to take up the role of coordinating responses from the Watchtower while also serving on the primary team.

Justice Leagues
These teams all operate under some version of the name Justice League, and serve as key parts of the Unlimited initiative.
Justice League
At the forefront of this enlarged organization is the Justice League, with a core membership of the original founding seven members of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, Martian Manhunter, Flash (Barry Allen) and Green Lantern (Hal Jordan), and additional permanent and part-time members made up of many other veteran Leaguers like Green Arrow (Oliver Queen), the Atom (Ray Palmer), Vixen and Steel.
Justice League Legacy (Titans)
Having proven themselves time and again, most recently by coordinating the defense of Earth in the absence of the main League, the original Titans are promoted to a Justice League team of their own, based out of the Hall of Justice, and considered the heir apparent of the main League. The core of this team are the original teen sidekicks, all heroes with over a decade of experience in their own right; Nightwing, Wonder Woman (Donna Troy), Flash (Wally West), Tempest, and Red Arrow. They are joined by several other legacy heroes, many of whom were also members of various Titans teams over the years, like Supergirl (Kara Zor-El), Green Lantern (Kyle Rayner), and the Atom (Ryan Choi), as well as other former Titans such as Cyborg, Changeling (formerly Beast Boy), and Omen (Lilith Clay).
Justice League International
To help ensure a more global presence, the League reestablishes the Justice League International. Veteran JLI members Booster Gold, Guy Gardner, Fire and Ice are joined by Batwing and Red Star in this new iteration, with efforts ongoing to recruit more international heroes. Unlike previous versions of the team, this incarnation is not initially sponsored by the United Nations as China blocks any attempt, presenting instead its own ersatz Justice League of China team.
Justice League Dark
Zatanna's ad hoc magical team assembled during the Sundering is made official as the Justice League Dark, dedicated to combating supernatural threats. The core team is made up of Zatanna, Ragman, the Demon Etrigan, Raven, and Detective Chimp, with Frankenstein and John Constantine making themselves available as needed. The team is soon joined by the spirits of deceased Justice League veteran Ralph Dibny (Elongated Man) and his wife Sue, aka the Ghost Detectives.
Justice League Task Force
The Task Force is not the name of a single team, but rather a blanket name applied to ad hoc groups of heroes assembled by Martian Manhunter as needed to deal with specific situations. Manhunter had almost complete freedom to choose the team members, and while he would often select active or former Justice League members some teams had non-affiliated heroes and even, on occasion, a villain might be included due to unique circumstances.
Affiliated Teams
These teams do not operate under the Justice League banner, but have strong ties to the Justice League and actively participate in the Unlimited initiative.
Justice Society
The venerable original superhero team is still around. The Sundering saw the return of the original Green Lantern Alan Scott, rejuvenated and once again acting as the Sentinel of the Green Flame, living embodiment of the Starheart, and a new iteration of the team has formed around him. Among those joining are older members like Wildcat, Sandman (Sandy Hawkins), and Power Girl as well as more recent members like Dr. Mid-Nite, Mr. Terrific, Hourman, Atom Smasher and Jesse Quick. The team remains based in Monument Point and are sometimes assisted by the original Flash, Jay Garrick, when he can spare the time from his duties as mayor of the city. With the Justice League Unlimited initiative, the Justice Society has strengthened their ties with the League, including exchanging information on a regular basis.
Teen Titans
Also strengthening their ties to the Justice League are the Teen Titans. Though many of the members are now in their early 20s, the team retains its name, and they continue to be based in Titans Tower in San Francisco. Despite their still relatively young age, many of the team are veteran heroes with close to a decade of experience. The Titans continue the family aspect tradition of the team, providing a stable environment for younger heroes. In the aftermath of the Sundering the core team consists of Red Robin, Wonder Girl, Superboy, Kid Flash, Ms. Martian, Aqualad, and Blue Beetle.
Young Justice
The final team established under the Unlimited initiative is dedicated to organizing and training the newest generation of heroes. Many of the members of this newest incarnation of Young Justice are the children of other heroes who have decided to follow in their parent’s footsteps, often having inherited their powers as well. As with the original version of the team, this Young Justice is also based in the Justice League’s original cave headquarters in Happy Harbor and the android Red Tornado serves as advisor and guardian of the junior heroes. Among the members of Young Justice are Robin (Damian Wayne), Superman Jr. (Jon Kent), Impulse (Irey West), Cheshire Cat (Lian Harper), and Animal Girl (Maxine Baker).
