WARRIOR ELITE
HISTORY
The Warrior Elite are the enforcers of the World Crime League and its leader Shiwan Xan. The Elite are an extended group
of powerful fighters, all highly skilled in the martial arts and many possessing metahuman or mystical powers as well. The
Elite stand outside of the regular World Crime League hierarchy and technically report directly to Shiwan Xan.
The members of the Warrior Elite most often operate individually or in small groups unless required for a specific task.
They are spread all over the world performing various duties, from providing muscle for League operations, infiltration and
espionage of rival organizations, or running their own criminal enterprises (with the requisite percentage going to the League's
coffers). The Elite in North America are collectively referred to as the Black Dragons and are nominally headed by Lazarus Chen,
whenever sufficient numbers of them are required together for a mission.
The various members are required to travel to Sabah on a regular basis for training and to handle specific missions. There
are often tournaments amongst the Elite to determine rankings. The League has agents all over the world scouting for potential
recruits for Xan's forces, and for the special ones that have the potential to become members of the Warrior Elite.
Several members of the Warrior Elite have recently been on missions in Superior
City, missions that have brought them into conflict with the New
Enforcers of Justice and other heroes from that city. See the individual entries below for details on these members of
the Elite.
SHINING LIGHT
Project: Shining Light was a World Crime League experiment in genetic engineering and social Darwinism. As part of Shining
Light, Shiwan Xan himself fathered several children with women specifically selected for the project to ensure the children
would have the optimum odds of developing metahuman powers.
The children with the most potential were placed in strict, League-controlled, orphanages in Europe, Asia, and South America
and left to fend for themselves. If it was seen as beneficial, League agents would help them at certain points to guide them
and hone their developing skills. If a subject was deemed ready they were brought into the League, usually willingly but sometimes
not, where their training could be completed and they could take their place as one of the Warrior Elite.
BLACK LOTUS
HISTORY
Lotus Blossom grew up on the streets of Hong Kong. She made a living running drugs and money for the triads. As her psychic
powers started to manifest she learned to manipulate the will of others. She used this power to form her own stable of girls
serving a high class of clientele in the city. Lotus would tend to the more powerful clients herself and would use her powers to
learn their secrets. Eventually she gained a position of power within the Triads in Hong Kong and became known as Black Lotus.
Black Lotus was looking for new challenges when the World Crime League approached her to join the Warrior Elite. She happily
agreed and was sent to Sabah where she received her combat training. Though she is as deadly a fighter as many of the others,
Black Lotus prefers to overcome an enemy through her persuasion or mental prowess rather than physically.
It was Black Lotus who brainwashed Alicia Uchida into attempting to assassinate
Buckaroo Banzai. She later also took mental control of the psychic
Sarah Edmund, using her as a puppet doing the League's bidding in its schemes against
Banzai in Superior City. Sarah, like Alicia, was eventually freed from Black
Lotus' control. The Enforcers of Justice managed to thwart the League's
plots in Superior City, but Black Lotus was able to escape back to Sabah.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Black Lotus has learned to focus her mental powers to deliver a debilitating bolt of psychic energy with a touch. She has also
trained herself to use her willpower to overcome pain and ignore the effects of moderate injuries. Black Lotus is an expert
hypnotist, able to mesmerize all but the strongest wills.
Like all members of the Warrior Elite, Black Lotus is a world class martial artist. She is a multi-level black belt in Weng
Chun Kung Fu.
HELIOS
HISTORY
Helios is a member of the European branch of the Warrior Elite. Like several other Warrior Elite, he is a result
of Project: Shining Light. Helios and several other of the Elite were sent to Superior City on a mission to assist
the Order of Heavenly Unity in their plot to resurrect Shiwan Xan.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Helios can sheathe his body with an aura of flames. Not only do the flames offer protection from attacks, but Helios
can also use his aura to project bolts of fire or generate blinding flashes. As a member of the Warrior Elite, Helios
is an expert martial artist, in his case in the art of Muay Thai.
IRON WOLF (DER EISENWULF)

HISTORY
Like Helios, Iron Wolf is one of the Warrior Elite, and on of the Shining Light subjects. He grew up on the streets of
Marseilles along with another Shining Light subject, the hero Manticore. Iron
Wolf's metahuman powers took longer to develop than Manitcore's, mainly because it required conscious effort on his part
to activate them. He finally gained his powers at the end of a test he and Manticore were being put through by the League.
Maneuvered into trying to kill each other by the League, Iron Wolf and Manticore were actually going through one of their
final tests before being inducted into the Warrior Elite. Midway through the battle, League agents fired a missile into the
midst of the two combatants. Whoever survived would become one of the Warrior Elite. While Manticore survived unscathed,
and subsequently fled, feeling betrayed by the League, Iron Wolf did not fare quite so well. His face was badly scarred
before his powers finally kicked in to protect him from the explosion. His survival did, however, ensure him a place in the
Warrior Elite.
Iron Wolf still harbors a grudge against Manticore for abandoning him and the League, but is under orders to try and
recruit Manticore back into the League.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Iron Wolf has superhuman strength and the metahuman ability to change his body into a form of iron-like metal. In his
metallic form he is a few feet taller and has an increased mass and strength to go along with the new size. While in this
form he is difficult to injure and nearly impossible to kill. In both his regular or metal form Iron Wolf also possesses
the ability to see in the dark, and has a psychic "tracking sense" that lets him home in on the location of a
desired target.
Like all members of the Warrior Elite, Iron Wolf is also a world-class martial artist. His preferred combat style is
Weng Chun Kung Fu.
JAGUAR
HISTORY
Jaguar is part of the Black Dragons, the Warrior Elite based in North America. He is the foremost tracker in the Elite
and it was he who first tracked down the errant Shining Light subject Manticore
in Superior City. Tasked with retrieving Manticore for the League, Jaguar failed in his mission due to the actions of
Manticore's new allies, the Enforcers of Justice. Jaguar was defeated by the heroes, but escaped and returned months later
to resume his hunt. This time Jaguar was not alone, having been accompanied by Black Dragons leader Lazarus "Lightning"
Chen and Leander, another of the Dragons. The three attacked and defeated Manticore, but the hero was able to escape them
before they could transport him back to Sabah.
POWERS & WEAPONS
Jaguar possesses superhman strength, agility, and resistance to injury in addition to the ability to rapidly heal any
injuries he does sustain. His enhanced strength allows Jaguar to run and jump great distances. Jaguar also has retractable
claws in his fingers, much like the predator he takes his name from.
Jaguar also possesses a wide array of enhanced and superhuman senses including the ability to see
from infrared up into ultraviolet wavelengths, the ability to hear sound frequencies outside the normal human range as well
hearing sensitive enough to pick up sound from long distances. His sense of hearing is also focused enough for him to quickly
pinpoint the direction a sound is coming from. Jaguar's sense of smell is also enhanced, allowing him to track targets by
scent alone and to analyze the composition of different smells. Jaguar also possesses additional senses beside the normal
human ones, including a radar-like sense that gives him a 360° perception of his surroundings, and a psychic "life
sense" that lets him sense the presence of living beings, an ability he can use to track a target over long distances.
Like fellow Elite member Helios, Jaguar is an expert in Muay Thai. His martial arts training also includes mental discipline,
which allows Jaguar to ignore pain and other effects from physical injury.
JOTUN
HISTORY
Jotun is named after the Frost Giants of Norse myth. Like Helios and Iron Wolf he is a member of the European branch of
the Warrior Elite and a product of Shining Light. People normally notice his ice-blue skin and hair before his normally
imposing size, a size even more imposing when Jotun uses his powers to grow to a height of 25 feet. Jotun was one of the
Elite who were sent to Superior City to assist in the resurrection of Shiwan Xan.
POWERS & WEAPONS
In addition to his martial arts prowess, Jotun possesses superhuman strength and resistance to injury. He can also grow to
a height of 25 feet tall, with a proportionate increase in his already prodigious strength. On top of this, Jotun also has the
ability to generate large quantities of ice from the air and fire them like projectiles at an enemy.
