Who's Who - Dundee Base

Robotech - Southern Cross

As one of the premiere Southern Cross military bases on the planet, Dundee Base was home to several thousand personnel.

Notable Personnel

Surface Operations
Major General Andrew Burke
  • Commander of 501st Surface Division and overall base commander. Gen. Burke was one of the victims of Supreme Commander Leonard's purges of the ranks of senior officers. He was removed from command of Dundee Base and placed in charge of one of the space fleets sent on suicide missions against the Robotech Masters fleets. Gen. Burke died when his ship was destroyed in one of the final battles of the Second Robotech War.
Brigadier General Nathaniel Banks
  • Gen. Burke's replacement and a Leonard-loyalist. Gen. Banks was given a flag rank just prior to his assignment as the replacement commander of Dundee Base and the 501st. His lack of large-scale tactical experience led him to make several novice mistakes early in his tenure that cost the lives of many of the troops under his command. Banks followed Leonard's commands to the letter, which meant that he remained at his command when the Robotech Masters started their final assault and was killed in the destruction of Dundee Base.
Lieutenant Angela Colbert
  • Chief administrative officer and aide to Gen. Burke. Lt. Colbert kept Dundee Base's bureaucracy running smoothly and always presented a friendly face to those who were trying to negotiate its administrative maze. When Gen. Burke was relieved of command the Lieutenant remained behind, but as Gen. Banks had his own hand-picked staff with him she was relegated to menial duties far below her position and skill level. Lt. Colbert was killed in the destruction of Dundee Base at the end of the Second Robotech War.
Aerospace Operations
Lt. Colonel Jason Devereaux
  • Commander, 82nd Aerospace Wing. Lt. Col. Devereaux commanded all of the air forces operating out of Dundee Base. During the Second Robotech War he often personally led the squadrons under his command into battle against the Robotech Masters. Devereaux was transferred along with his entire wing to Queensland Base in the later days of the war. He led them in the final space battle of the conflict but it is unknown if he survived the battle.
Lieutenant Melissa Jackson
  • A member of the 52nd TASC Squadron and a ten year veteran of the Southern Cross, having joined shortly after the end of the Malcontent Uprisings. Melissa had a short romantic relationship with Yossef von Varenburg of the 21st A.T.A.C. that ended when she was transferred to Queensland Base with the rest of her squadron.
Global Military Police
Major Simon Wagner
  • Commander of the GMP contingent stationed at Dundee Base. Col. Wagner was constantly on the lookout for security violations but missed the one right under his nose. When Capt. Roberts' treason was revealed COl. Wagner resigned from his post to avoid further embarrassment.
Captain Jason Roberts
  • Military Intelligence section chief for northern Australia and Indonesia region. Roberts was Mark Andrews' handler when the young Private first arrived at Dundee Base. Roberts was also a double agent working for the EBSIS. He was the one responsible for passing the plans for Brains' Protoculture Sensor over to the Soviets. He was captured by the 21st A.T.A.C. when he attempted to defect and take Brains with him to the EBSIS.
Captain Daniel Jameson
  • Security section chief for Dundee Base, in charge of the base Military Police. Capt. Jameson and his men had frequent altercations with members of the 21st A.T.A.C. and maintained an antagonistic relationship with the squadron up to the end. Capt. Jameson was killed when Dundee Base was destroyed at the end of the Second Robotech War.
