Who's Who - RDF 89th Destroid - Boomers

The 89th Destroid Squadron of the Robotech Defense Force, aka the Boomers, was a
veteran mecha squadron stationed at Fort Gibson in Australia. The unit could trace its roots back
to the Reconstruction period when they were stationed at RDF Base New Toronto in the Ontario
Quadrant.
The unit saw extensive action during World War IV and in its immediate aftermath, during which time
they were frequently paired with the 21st A.T.A.C. from nearby Southern Cross Dundee Base. The unit also saw action
during the early days of the Second Robotech War. The entire squadron was wiped out in the destruction of Fort Gibson
a few months into the war.
