New Generation Who's Who - Allison (Allie) Kwan

Background

Allison "Allie" Kwan is a genius, just ask her. Both of her parents are engineers, her mother serving with the United Earth Forces and her father a civilian, and Allie was born on Earth's moon where her mother was stationed at Moon Base Luna. At a young age Allie and her family, including Allie's older brother Jamie, relocated to Space Station Liberty where Jamie enlisted in the Expeditionary Forces, becoming a pilot. Allie took after her parents, and after showing an exceptional aptitude at engineering herself was fast-tracked into the Expeditionary Forces technical academy while in her mid-teens.

Allie focused on aerospace engineering, and tried to add as much practical knowledge as she could. She became tight with a couple of Expeditionary Forces technicians, Steven and Vicky, who were on the support crew for her brother's fighter squadron and learned as much as she could from them about the current crop of aerospace fighters. Idolizing her older brother, Allie became determined to design the perfect aerospace fighter for him, the best plane for the best pilot.

Family always comes first for Allie, and her work is a close second, so Allie does not date much despite being quite attractive. It's not that she's not interested, but inevitably any potential suitor gets measured up against her beloved big brother, not to mention that most men sadly find her intelligence intimidating. To date the handful of relationships Allie has been in have been short flings or one night stands, though one did turn into a lasting friendship. Outside of her family, Allie's closest relationship is with her childhood friend Tanya. The two have been friends since they were six years old, and stuck together through school until Allie was transferred to the academy.

The Expeditionary Forces have backed Allie's plan to develop a next generation aerospace fighter and for security purposes have located the program, codenamed Project Icarus, at their Gamma Base on the remote colony world of Haven. While reluctant to be far away from her family while working on the project, Allie was pleased to learn that her childhood friend Tanya had recently moved to Haven and the two have reunited. Project Icarus is now Allie's sole priority, especially with the likelihood of her brother planning to volunteer for the rumored upcoming mission to try and liberate Earth from its alien occupiers.
